A cross-curricular handbook for grades 7-9
Since September 11, we have experienced a marked growth in our Model United Nations programs. To make world issues a practical and realistic classroom experience, we have published a grade 7-9 cross-curricular program. Exercises are supplemented with material available on our web site: www.cowac.org.
Students learn best and retain most when active in the process. A cross-curricular program is one of the most effective educational vehicles that I have observed in thirty-one years of teaching.
I am sure that you will find this unit to be a worthwhile experience for your students and I hope that you use it as a springboard for other experiential learning opportunities. Good luck with your activities,
Sincerely,
Mike Keenan
